The Twilight or Twilight-cursed are not a faction or group with a common goal or culture. They are beings that have been struck by the Twilight curse. The affliction changes their bodies and burns away their spirit, replacing it with a common desire for destruction. They have no real leaders, but they tend to gather around the most powerful of their kind. Sometimes, it seems there is a collective urge driving or drawing them to specific places, but no mind has been known to give them orders.
Whatever affiliation they had before their infection - fire or nature, frost or shadow - they now all belong to the Twilight, unified in their desire for destruction.
They are enemies of all life but do not take pleasure in what they do: instead, they seem stricken with deep despair. It is as if they are enduring terrible pain and only destruction provides any hope of relief.
The curse can be transmitted via touch or spell, or it can simply spread through the ground or air itself. Depending upon the exposure, it takes from minutes to days for the curse to take full effect.
The curse itself was woven by Brannoc, but its original source was the Harbinger, an entity created by the Lost Souls who are trapped in the Wailing Lands. They poured all their despair and their hate into this curse, all their fury after the millennia of entrapment.
The aim of the curse was to destroy the world of the living and to end creation so that every soul would get a new chance.

[edit]Twilight Abomination | ||
---|---|---|---|
Attack: XL 7300 | Defense: XL 9300 | ||
"Bellowing roars frighten his nearby enemies, making them unable to strike at him in melee." A fallen variant of the Collosus, this degenerate being is more than a match for any Tier Four XL creature. Do not try to take the Abomination in single combat with any unit, as its special ability, a powerful roar that blocks incoming melee attacks, combined with his high attack will quickly finish any XL melee creature foolish enough to venture close. Instead bring it low with combined range fire, ensnaring roots plus Giant Wyrms is a particularly effective tactic, as it brings heavy fire power to the field whilst rendering the abominations strengths useless. |
