Strikers is one of Fire'sFirst EraSmall squads. Because of their Swift and Charge abilities, they are often used in early-game raids. They are very good against Shadow in T1 (Dreadcharger, M unit) as they lack any form of Crowd Control. In the hands of skilled players they are powerful, especially when supported by Mines and Eruptions. Costing 90 Power, the player must decide whether Strikers are worth the extra Power so early on.
Strikers can be countered by Frost Mages, due to the knockback on Frost Mages' attacks, which usually prevents the Strikers from getting close enough to charge properly.
Strikers kill most other First Era cards, particularly Medium Creatures, in a matter of seconds if they are alone.
They are often used along with Sunderers and Makeshift Towers. This combo can be deadly, because the Sunderers destroy any buildings in sight, while the Strikers charge any creature who tries to fight back and the tower makes small creatures useless. Especially when backed up by a Mortar Tower. However, do watch out for Swiftclaw and Hurricane.
It's worth noting that, though they have the Swift ability, Strikers are slower than all other Swift units but still faster than units without Swift.
Another thing to keep in mind is that when charging against units such as Dreadcharger and Nomad Strikers will be knocked back if these units are moving. Only charge when they have stopped moving or started to attack.
