Imperials are first era Frost creatures with a toggled ability that significantly reduces the damage they take. They also fight with long spears, which allows them to double-up on engaged enemy creatures with a second row of units. Thus they combo well with just about any other S melee unit. This ability to concentrate their attacks combined with their damage reduction, when properly supported by archers, makes them a force to be reckoned with in an early fight.
