Death Ray, a flying world of pain, is a fourth era flying creature. Like the Battleship, it is very slow moving. However, the Death Ray receives a speed boost with it's 3rd upgrade, making it as fast as a Giant Wyrm or a Fire Dragon

Leech Guns AbilityEdit

The Leech Guns can be turned on to provide provide a bonus to the damage output, but there is a cost, of course; the guns sap lifepoints from the player's other units nearby in order to fuel its cannons. The four leech gun turrets may sap life from one to four of the player's own units. To fully charge a Death Ray requires 5000 life points, killing nearly any single creature anything except a Dreadnought, or a fourth era creature with Shadow buffs like Unholy Power or Life Weaving (for the 50% damage reduction). If four or more own creatures are available for leeching, each target will only receive around 1250 damage. This means any T4 unit (aside from [{Card:Rifle Cultists|]]), and most T3 units would survive, especially if there is some form of healing going on.

Best UsesEdit

The following are some recommended ways to use the Leech Guns ability:

  • Use death ray as part of a big T4 army. The leech guns damage will be almost insignificant if there is some form of healing going on.
  • Best healing to combine it with is Rejuvenation from wheel of gifts. You can just leave the leach guns activated all the time and forget about them.
  • Best unit to combine it with is the overlord. The overlord will auto heal quickly when there are corpses nearby.
  • If you are switching from a previous tier army to T4, the leech guns might be a good way to recycle your weaker units.
  • Place two or more Death Rays together, and let one suck the others life for a short time. This cannot be left on permanently and forgotten, as one will die, although the other will live.
  • A Death Ray chain reaction. Starting with 2 Death Rays, have one leech the other, until it dies. Afterwards, when the Death Ray that lived runs out of extra lifepoints, get a new death ray to leech it until it dies. Repeat as long as you like.
Note: Since Leech Guns are a ranged, magical attack, a player's own Moloch should only receive half damage from them. However, this is currently not the case, as Moloch receives full damage from Leech Guns.

AbilityIcon AutoCast Necro Beam

Every 4 seconds, unit fires a deadly ray that deals 550 damage to enemies in a 15m radius around its target, up to 830 in total. Knocks back small and medium units.

AbilityIcon Activatable Leech Guns

Brings 4 turrets into action that each drain 100 life points from own units in range every second. A total of 3000 life points can be stored at once. As long as the stored life points last unit deals 50% more damage. Leeching will go on until deactivated.
