Overview

DescriptionEdit

Armored Tower is a third era Frost tower capable of defending against both air and ground targets. Its secondary Special Ability supports nearby defending entities(both creature and structure) with a very substantial Damage Absorption. The tower's attack and the ability are mutually exclusive; toggling on the damage absorption stops the tower firing, but the ability is far more powerful than the damage in any case; there are few cases in which the damage is preferable.
Gift of Ice ability can be toggled off and on at will; there is neither recast timer nor casting cost. Thus, the 5200 damage cap can be reset at any time simply by toggling the building into attack mode and back to defensive mode. It will reset back into attack mode after 30 seconds, so it does require a little micromanagement.

Note: One unit can have only one Ice Shield on it. Damage Absorption effects (e.g. Ward of the North) do NOT reduce the incoming damage on shielded units as long as the unit has the shield. Additionally, damage absorption effects (e.g. Ward of the North) do NOT stack.
